The aim is to increase the added value in the logistics chain; this can only be done if Slovenia sheds its status as a purely transit country and starts offering firms state-of-the-art cargo handling, warehousing and distribution services.

The key goal of the IC Logistics 2010 conference is to present major logistics projects and developments in the sector to potential investors and strategic partners:

• Aerodrom Ljubljana, the operator of Ljubljana's airport, will unveil its master plan for a national multimodal logistics centre and will introduce the Airport City project

• Slovenian Railways, the railway network operator, is transforming into a modern full-service logistics company – they are looking for strategic partnerships
